Can the Kartarpur corridor mend India-Pakistan relations? | The Hindu Parley podcast

The idea of a Kartarpur corridor that would link the Sikh shrines of Dera Baba Nanak in India’s Gurdaspur and the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan has been around for a very long time. In the past year, we have heard positive sounds from leaders of both nations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi going so far as to equate it to the tearing down of the Berlin Wall. Eventually, on November 9, the first batch of Indian pilgrims successfully made the journey along the 4.7-km corridor.

Discussing the implications, potential and pitfalls of this initiative for India-Pakistan relations are former diplomat Ambassador K.C. Singh and Ajai Sahni (director, Institute for Conflict Management).
